Creating a Private Practice Marketing Information Sheet
While a private practice marketing brochure can be useful, as a mental health professional I have found it more beneficial to use a simpler, 8x11 inch, two sided black and white private practice marketing information sheet. A practice marketing information sheet is a factual bio that does not use sales language but is appropriately given to potential referral sources. I also have a rack in my office with private practice marketing information sheets that my clients often take with them after their first visit or when they think of someone to refer to me.
Getting referrals from medical doctors with a private practice marketing information sheet
A practice marketing information sheet is especialy helpful in getting referrals from physicians. To get referrals from physicians it is important to include factual, non-hyped information about you practice, a picture of yourself, and a listing of the insurance panels you accept. Sending a private practice marketing information sheet and several business cards along when I correspond with clients physicians has led to several good referral relationships for me. I have found that simple black print on white paper works better than having a fancier brochure, as some physicians copy the information sheet and give it to patients for me.
